Global Water Technologies renews on-site sulfuric acid patent
INDIANAPOLIS January 29, 2015 -- Global Water Technologies (OTC Pink: GWTR) has paid the United States patent maintenence fee for US Patent Number 7,867,470 that was issued in 2011 and covers the on-site production of sulfuric acid. The patented process for producing sulfuric acid allows manufacture directly at locations where it is needed and in quantities sufficient for immediate use, thereby reducing the cost and and safety concerns of transporting and storing the acid.
To further develop and commercialize the technology, the company has partnered with AguaDulce, a Utah-based company that provides a similar process for the manufacture of sulfurous acid. Sulfurous acid is often used to treat irrigated farmland and provides both soil remediation and water conservation.
