Series of events draw leaders of emerging water technology sector to Midwest
INDIANAPOLIS, September 27, 2013 -- Global Water Technologies (OTC Pink: GWTR) is participating in a series of events and meetings related to the emerging opportunities for smart water solutions and leadership in the Great Lakes region.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago hosted a Summit on Regional Competitiveness on September 27 that featured presentations from the governors of Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana and included discussions on innovation and green growth in the tri-state area. Milwaukee's new Global Water Center was highlighted as an example of such efforts and the potential for leadership and related economic development in the sector.
Global Water Technologies also has been participating in meetings on the role of Water IT in helping to reduce water loss and joined an interactive session on that topic held at the Wright Brothers Institute in Dayton, Ohio and attended by several innovative water utilites from across the United States.
The company is also attending WEFTEC, an annual expo that draws more than 20,000 of the nation's leading water technology professionals. This year's October event is being held at McCormick Place in Chicago and features an Innovation Pavillion promoting new technologies. A meeting of representatives from leading water clusters across the country is also scheduled.
